Summary
Marines from Bravo Battery, 1st Battalion, 12th Marines, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, fire a 13-gun salute during a Flying "V" ceremony held at historic Palm Circle, Fort Shafter, Hawaii, May 28. The Flying "V" ceremony was held to honor Maj. Gen. James F. Pasquarette, deputy commanding general, U.S. Army Pacific, for his distinguished service as he prepares to depart USARPAC. The "V" refers to the way the colors are posted during the ceremony, which is V-shaped. (U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt. Kyle Richardson, U.S. Army Pacific Public Affairs)
A very large dataset of various big guns, howitzers, mortars, columbiads, all types of canon-like things - everything besides machine guns and rockets. This collection as well as all massive collections on Picryl.com required two steps: First, we picked a set to train AI vision to recognize cannon artillery, and after that, ran all 25M+ images in our database through our image recognition network. All media in the collection is in the public domain. There is no limitation on the dataset usage - educational, scientific, or commercial.
