Marines serving with 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion ride their light armored vehicle variants during the Poway Days Parade here, Sept. 7, 2013. The parade is a 48-year civic tradition that celebrates the town’s western heritage. The parade included about 100 sections and 40 participating organizations. More than 50 volunteers with the Highlander Battalion participated in different events throughout the day, including a 5k race and free breakfast service, in order to support the community.
