GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (Sept. 4, 2018) – 1st Lt. Edwige Nama, desk officer with the Ministry of Defense in Burkina Faso, tells German Col. Carsten Treder, the course director for the Program on Applied Security Studies, that “We are ready for PASS” during the English Language Enhancement Course graduation ceremony Sept. This course is a specially tailored program for participants who will be attending the Marshall Center’s Program on Applied Security Studies, which starts Sept. 5. The Marshall Center's Partner Language Training Center Europe developed the five-week English intensive language enhancement course for PASS candidates who are moderately proficient in English. PLTCE designed the course to improve participants' oral communication and listening comprehension skills, while focusing on course-related terminology necessary for successful attendance in the PASS resident course.
