Alakanuk, Alaska, July 16, 2013 -- Tribal Liaison Ramona VanCleve inspects the heavily eroded river bank of the Yukon after severe flooding devastated the communities. Federal funding in the form of Public Assistance (PA) is available to state, tribal and eligible local governments and certain nonprofit organizations on a cost sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the flooding in the Alaska Gateway Regional Educational Attendance Area (REAA), Copper River REAA, Lower Yukon REAA, Yukon Flats REAA, and the Yukon-Koyukuk REAA.
