McLean Asylum in 1835 - Charleston, Boston Mass.
Summary
McLean Asylum in 1835. "It is situated on one of the most beautiful spots in the vicinity of Boston, which was formerly the estate of a gentleman of great wealth and was selected by him on account of the salubrity of the air and the extant and variety of the view . . . It . . . is sufficiently retired to afford quiet and rural serenity, which in all cases is found to be condition of mind."
