Meet Our MEF | Marine explains how EOTG supports III MEF
Summary
U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Augusto Zapata stands on a beach in Okinawa, Japan, Dec. 10, 2019. Zapata, a native of Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, is the chief instructor of the Amphibious Raids Branch’s small boat section for Expeditionary Operations Training Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
“We provide a special skillset to the MEF at EOTG,” Zapata said. “[We] further the capabilities of the ground combat element and all the other supporting units, which overall supports the full spectrum of operations in the Indo-Pacific.”
