Members of the 662nd Engineer Company, Virgin Islands

Members of the 662nd Engineer Company, Virgin Islands National Guard performed maintenance duties around the former 210th Regional Training Institute at Ham's Bluff in Frederiksted, St. Croix, Aug. 14. Using heavy equipment and machetes, the unit continued a project to clear 30 feet of brush and vegetation around the outside perimeter fence to enhance security, cleared weeds and overgrown bushes within the fence line for better visibility and cleared the the overgrown grass leading up the buildings gate. With these modifications, the community members who hike up to the historic lighthouse near the property can do so with ease and not be hampered by the vegetation.
