Summary
Members of the U.S. Army Reserve’s 983rd Engineer Battalion, are welcomed home during an official ceremony, Feb. 7, 2019, in Swanton, Ohio. More than 150 soldiers assigned to the Monclova, Ohio based battalion served more than nine months in the Middle East, supporting engineering missions throughout the region. The mission of the 983rd Engineer Battalion is to increase the combat effectiveness of division, corps and theater forces by accomplishing general engineering tasks and limited mobility, counter-mobility and rear-area security operations when required.
