Members of the U.S. Marines, from Marine Barracks Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Army Caisson Platoon, part of the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment, take part in the graveside service for Marine Pvt. Harry K. Tye at Arlington National Cemetery, March 28, 2017, in Arlington, Va. He took part in the fighting on the island of Betio in the Tarawa Atoll of the Gilbert Islands, dying on the first day of the battle, Nov. 20, 1943.
