Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder, vice chief of the National Guard Bureau Lt. Gen. Joseph Lengyel, adjutant general of Michigan Maj. Gen. Gregory Vadnais, and commander of the MIANG Brig. Gen. Leonard Isabelle, Jr., are among the visitors to Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center and the Grayling Air Gunnery Range, Aug. 8, 2013, to interact with military members and observe training of those participating in Operation Northern Strike. The event is a total force military exercise held in northern Lower Michigan with participants from 29 units from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, 16 states and two coalition partner nations (Latvia and Canada).
