Military personnel from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan arrive by a United States Air Force C-141B Starlifter at Pope Air Force Base in North Carolina. Task Force 3-504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, assigned to the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, will host the military platoon during Exercise CENTRAL ASIAN BATTALION (CENTRAZBAT) 97. The countries will conduct combined airborne operations, weapons training and cultural activities in order to strengthen partnership between CENTRAZBAT participants and Task Force 3-504 and to set the conditions for a successful Partnership for Peace (PfP) exercise
