Minority leader relishes spuds. Washington, D.C., Dec. 8. House Minority Leader Bertrand Snell of New York, seemed to relish the spuds from both states as he participated in potato eating contest today in the House Restaurant to determine which state grows the best potatoes - Idaho or Maine. The controversy started when a carload of potatoes from Idaho was sent to the Capitol for distribution to the members of Congress. 12/8/37
