Morton's (Behr's) Indiana Battery
Summary
Morton's Battery, 6th Indiana Light Artillery, commanded by Captain Frederick Behr. They were part of Sherman's 5th Division. Capt. Behr was shot from his horse and killed early in the fighting near the crossroads. He was the only member of the battery killed in the fighting at Shiloh.
