Johnson, Commander, US Naval Region Marianas, meet and embrace during a ceremony commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the Battle of Peleliu, held at Peleliu Island, Guam. Mr. Tsuchida, who was stationed on the island in 1944 hid in the Islands cave and jungles for nearly two years after the war ended and did not surrender to American forces until April 1947
