Muhammad Yusuf was one of the followers of the late work of Riza-Yi-Abbasi, he belongs to the most famous Persian masters of the mid-seventeenth century. Dated works by the artist cover the period 1630 – 1650-ies. Muhammad Yousuf worked in different genres, creating both portrait miniatures and drawings on separate sheets, which in the XVII century in Persia enjoyed great popularity.
