Summary

Ivor Murray Wilson #733 was a 26 year old bank clerk when he enlisted in February 1915. He is seated on the right with the wallaby fur hat band, a symbol of the 6th Australian Light Horse Regiment..His war records: 205736 ( 205736 ) .Two of his brothers also enlisted afterwards and all three boys survived the war. Unfortunately Ivor was involved in a railway shunting accident in Egypt in September 1916 and had to have both of his legs amputated. He married and had a family after the war..His distinctive wallaby fur hat band denotes that he was in the 6th Australian Light Horse, the only regiment to do so.
