National Guard Staff Sgt. Excited to serve community

Staff Sgt. Jackson Smith (Left), with the 3rd Battalion, 265th Air Defense Artillery Regiment and a Davenport, FL native, is currently serving as a shift Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge at the testing stage of the Orange County Convention Center Community Based Testing Site.
This means Smith is not only in charge of making sure the testing area itself runs smoothly, but making sure his Soldiers are staying safe, that they're staying hydrated and checking on how they're doing individually. Taking care of and leading soldiers while serving his community is a role he finds incredibly fulfilling.
"To be entrusted with running the testing site that helps the community in such a way is more than an honor: It's the reason I signed up. To help those who need it and make a difference."
Outside the Florida National Guard, Smith is actively pursuing careers in acting and Information Technology.
