Natural Features of the Ranch Landscape
Summary
McGraw Ranch. The natural features of the valley were recognized in the 1880s by homesteaders and cattle ranchers. Adequate water and low meadows with access to higher grazing pastures made the property an attractive site for raising livestock. The beauty of the setting later contributed to its success as a guest ranch. This view shows stream, wetland, and natural features with the Main House in the background.
