Summary

NAVAL BASE WHITE BEACH, Okinawa, Japan (April 8, 2020) Marines with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) and Sailors aboard the Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42) load supplies onto the Germantown while resupplying the vessel. While in port, the Germantown took on supplies to remain ready to support operations through the Indo-Pacific region. Germantown, part of America Expeditionary Strike Group, 31st MEU team, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
