Navy Chief Petty Officer Salvador Vallebo injects a numbing agent into the face of a Kajaki Afghan Uniformed Police officer during a procedure at Forward Operating Base Zeebruge March 31. Afghan National Security Force medics and U.S. Navy corpsmen removed shrapnel from both sides of his face. The injuries were caused by an improvised explosive device.
