CHON BURI PROVINCE, Thailand (May. 21, 2019) U.S. Navy Construction Electrician 2nd Class Shadashia Anderson and Construction Electrician Constructionman Apprentice Conner Simmelink, both assigned to Amphibious Construction Battalion (ACB) 1, paint a restroom alongside Eakkawit Chairipu, a Thai construction worker, at the Ban Mabfugthong School project site during Pacific Partnership 2019. The scope of the project includes construction of a four-stall restroom, which will provide additional facilities for students to use during school and for local community gatherings held at the facility. Pacific Partnership, now in its 14th iteration, is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific. Each year, the mission team works collectively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase stability and security in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships across the Indo-Pacific.
