New York Army National Guard 2nd Lt. Daniel Hamlin receives his officer's rank from his family during his commissioning at Camp Smith, N.Y. August 29, 2020. Ten new officers were pinned their second lieutenant shoulder boards by family members during the 106th Regional Training Institute’s Officer Candidate School graduation.
