Original Caption: Interpretive signs educate the visitor about Kooskia Crossing. This native river crossing was also used as a ford by miners and loggers. Today this gateway marks the split between US Highway 12 and Idaho Highway 13, leading byway travelers to choose their subsequent route: on to Lolo Pass, or south to Grangeville and the Camas Prairie country?
