Social satire; a sluttish woman, her dress falling to reveal her breast, shouting and raising a pair of bellows to hit her husband, seizing him by the wig while he flounders drunken on the floor, brandishing a wooden spoon and holding a frothing tankard, and a little girl in tattered clothes watches screeching and clutching at her mother's skirts; a dog and cat fighting on the mantelshelf behind, knocking over cups and candle. 1771
