PALMA DE MALLORCA, Spain (Jan. 2, 2017) The guided-missile cruiser USS Monterey (CG 61)’s Commanding Officer Capt. Chris DeGregory presets a ship photo and ship’s ball cap as gifts to the Spanish Central Government Representative for the Balearic Islands, Mrs. Maria Salom during a scheduled meeting. Monterey, deployed as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, is conducting naval operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe.
