Participants in the 23rd running of the U.S. Air Force

Participants in the 23rd running of the U.S. Air Force Marathon make their way through the Fairborn Skyzone on their way to the finish line at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, Sept. 21, 2019. This year's races attracted more than 12,700 runners representing all 50 states and 15 foreign countries. More than 2,600 volunteers came together to help out at the various events throughout the weekend. The marathon's race courses span through the adjacent towns around Wright-Patt and serve to celebrate the birthday and the history of the U.S. Air Force in the birthplace of aviation..
