Petty Officer 3rd Class Joshua Hoekstra, fire controlman from Grand Rapids, Mich., removes cable holders from one of the eight evolved sea sparrow platform chambers in preparation for a missile upload on board the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. The NATO Sea Sparrow Missile is a highly maneuverable, all-weather, beyond-visual-range, semi-active radar homing air-to-air missile used by the United States, NATO and other allied forces.
