Petty Officer 3rd Class Richard Mata directs an AH-1 Cobra helicopter assigned to the Evil Eyes of Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron (HMM) 163 to take off from the amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4). Boxer and the embarked 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (13th MEU) are underway supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
