Petty Officer First Class James Robertson, an independent duty corpsman with Echo Company, Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, and a Los Angeles native, reads the corpsman creed aloud in recognition of the 116th anniversary of the inception of the naval hospital corps aboard the USS Comstock during Certification Exercise (CERTEX) off the coast of Southern California, June 17.
