J.,from which he was grad-uated with honor andin lined lately afterwardshe entered the dry goodsstore of Isaac Barton ec L & CARPENTERS BUiLDiNG Cq> ^^ ^ ch£st. nutjstreets, where he remained until he entered the firm of W. & J.Gillespie in 1841, as before stated. He is the Second Vice-President of the Board of Trade,with which he has been actively connected for twenty-five years.He is also the President of the Philadelphia Lying-in-Charityand Nurses School, and of the Home Missionary Society. He isa Manager of the House of Refuge and Chairman of the Stand-ing Committees of the Board. He is also one of the Managersof the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, and takesa lively interest in all charitable and benevolent enterprises andenjoys the full confidence of a wide range of business and personalacquaintance.

Reeves, who resides atMcKeanavenue and Clapier street, Germantown ; Mr. Thomas F. Jones,whose residence is on Wissahickon avenue, near Clapier street, andMr. Walter M. Pattou, whose house is in Camden, N. J.
