description

Summary

Philippine Marines Sgt. Roberto A. Avila, right, and Sgt. Angelito R. Luna wrestle Oct. 4, during a squad field competition at the Naval Station Leovigildo Gantioqui, San Antonio, Zambales, Republic of the Philippine as part of Amphibious Landing Exercise 2014. The competition brought out the warrior mentality during the martial arts portion. Bilateral Philippine-U.S. Marine Corps training sustains and reinforces the foundation and framework for a bilateral force to respond rapidly and effectively to regional humanitarian crises. Avila is a plans noncommissioned officer and Luna is a motor pool chief, and are both members of the Philippine Marine Corps. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Jose D. Lujano)
