CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – On Friday, this sea turtle affected by the cold temperatures in Florida was among those taken inside the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge headquarters building at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. The turtle was one of many "stunned" by the recent drop in temperatures in Florida. This photo of the Blanding's turtle was taken at the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge (MA) on May 26, 2011, during a Blanding's turtle head start program release. Students from the Bristol Agricultural School released 51 turtles they raised from hatchlings. This is a close-up of a hatchling in a student's hand.
