Pithouse Floor - National Parks Gallery
Summary
This Pithouse at Montezuma Well is only one of many that were excavated in the 1950s. This one was chosen for public display, and thus surrounded with a modern masonry wall and covered with a metal roof. Even so, our archeologists must carefully preserve this dwelling which consists of post-holes in packed earth.
