Print shows map of the battlefield between Heilesheim, Germany and Landen, Leuwen and Tienen in Belgium. Print also shows the Becke, Geete and Gias rivers and the location of numerous small villages in the region. Key locations and activities are identified in the print and labeled A-N. On July 18, 1705, the Duke of Marlborough successfully broke through the French forces at a small village in Belgium, near Hillesheim, Germany. The Lines of Brabant were a strategic arc of defensive fieldworks stretching from Antwerp to Namur in Belgium.
