A campaign sound truck belonging to 1940 Florida, USA, governor candidate Hans Walker, from a radio magazine. Sound trucks with public address systems were used in the US for political campaigning from the 1920s to the 1950s, driving through neighborhoods while playing recorded speeches by the candidate at a high volume. They are still used in Japan, Portugal, and other countries.
