Ponderosa Vegetation at the Ranch
Summary
McGraw Ranch. The natural vegetation of the site does not appear to have been significantly disturbed during the ranch occupation, although certainly there were changes. Above the ranch building cluster, ponderosas grow in an open forest as they would have historically. The ridge would have had more douglas fir mixed in with these, but many were killed by a spruce budworm in the early 1980s.
