US COAST GUARD PORT SECURITY NORTH CAROLINA

WILMINGTON, North Carolina (Jan. 21)--During a security overflight on the Cape Fear River, N.C., Petty Officer William Bradley and the crew of the Coast Guard Jayhawk helicopter, stationed out of Elizabeth City, N.C., check out a suspicious contact near the North Carolina State Port in WIlmington. The contact was determined a non-threat, however, security in and around the port has risen during recent military equipment onloads in support of the President's global war on terrorism.
