Summary
Year-long North Dakota residents, buff and tan-haired Richardson's Ground Squirrels breed in the spring season. When full grown like the one pictured here, they are about the one-quarter the size of prairie dogs. These ground squirrel's litters can range in size from 4 to 13 young.
