Private First Class Kirkland B. Outlar, Platoon 2129, Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, stands at attention prior to graduation at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Sept. 23. Outlar is a Wharton, Texas, native and was recruited out of RS Huston. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego.
