Public Health Officials hand out medical supplies to local villagers as part of the Village Medical Outreach Program conducted in Khorma Leq, Farah province, Afghanistan, July 19. Approximately 200-300 residents of the village were medically treated by PHOs from the Ministry of Public Health. The VMOP provided an opportunity for Government Islamic Republic of Afghanistan medical officials to broaden their influence by reaching out to distant villages and give villagers a firsthand look at the services their government can offer.
