Quaich, 18th century - Public domain museum object photo
Summary
The quaich was an early form of loving cup. The staves of the wood prototype are here indicated as part of the decoration. The quaich is engraved on the handles Omnis bonis bona (To the good all things are good), the motto of a number of families.
