SAN DIEGO (Jul. 13, 2013) Rear Adm. C. Forrest Faison III, commander of Naval Medical Center San Diego and Navy Medicine West presents a command coin to Hospital Corpsman Julian Gordon, assigned to Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton (NHCP) during the Veteran's Village of San Diego Stand Down 2013. Gordon received the command coin for coordinating more than 120 Navy volunteers from NHCP for the three-day event where an estimated one thousand of San Diego's homeless veterans can received a variety of free services, including help finding employment, substance abuse counseling, health care, and legal assistance.
