KABUL, Afghanistan (Oct. 18, 2007) Rear Adm. Douglas McClain encourages members of the Afghan National Army Air Corps during a visit to the ANAAC base in Kabul. McClain toured the facility while participating in the CAPSTONE program, which takes newly selected general/flag officers on overseas field studies to learn about joint/combined doctrine, interoperability, and key allied nation issues. The program is a six-week course designed to promote effective planning and employment of U.S. forces in joint and combined operations to support national policy objectives.
