Recruits of Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, use a rope to get from one side of the obstacle to the other during the Confidence Course event at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Nov. 23. Obstacles in the Confidence Course included the Monkey Bridge, Skyscraper, Wall Climb, A-Frame and several others. Today, all males recruited from west of the Mississippi are trained at MCRD San Diego. The depot is responsible for training more than 16,000 recruits annually. Fox Company is scheduled to graduate Jan. 29.
