Recruits of Mike Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, begin a three-mile run during an initial physical fitness test at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, Feb. 19. To achieve a perfect score of 300, recruits must run three miles in 18 minutes, complete 100 crunches in two minutes and conduct 20 dead hang pull-ups. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Mike Company is scheduled to graduate April 15.
