GREAT LAKES, Ill. (Apr. 10, 2018) Recruits perform the curl-up portion of their initial physical fitness assessment (PFA) at Recruit Training Command (RTC). Recruits are tested during their first week of training for the PFA, which consists of curl-ups, push-ups and a 1.5-mile run. Approximately 38,000 to 40,000 Sailors graduate annually from RTC.
