Red-winged Blackbird - National Parks Gallery
Summary
A perched red-winged blackbird shows off his red and yellow wing patches. They are one of the first migratory birds to return to the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area in the spring. Males arrive first to claim territories in our marshes and fields. Females arrive several weeks later.
