Remnant of a Wall at the Welch Cave Site

Welch Cave Site, Ozark National Scenic Riverways. Dr. Diehl's family did not have much interest in maintaining the resort on the Current River following his death in 1940, and it soon fell into ruin. Portions of the hospital still remain, serving as a unique reminder of the national interest in health spas and the specific relationship between the site's built and natural features.
