Summary

Rhodes Department Store was located in the Arcade Building on Second Avenue in Seattle. It was opened in 1907 by Albert Rhodes and his wife, Harriet. Albert’s brothers owned separate department stores under the Rhodes name in Tacoma. Albert died unexpectedly of influenza in 1921 and Harriet was then President of the Rhodes Company which she managed successfully until her own death in 1944.
This small card advertises Rhodes Quaker Lunch in the Arcade Annex: "If it is not the BEST, we do not serve it. Nothing over TEN CENTS.”
