OAK HARBOR, Wash. (May. 24, 2010) Rear Adm. James Symonds, commander of Navy Region Northwest, speaks during a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the completion of Hangar 5's recapitalization at Naval Air Station (NAS) Whidbey Island. The $55.8 million design-build project began in January 2008. The completed facility will house five EA-18G Growler squadrons, the Electronic Attack Weapons School and Commander, Electronic Attack Wing, U.S. Pacific Fleet.
